NOSTROMO publie en 1996 un premier 45 T, puis en 1998 un premier album studio, Argue (Snuff Records), puis l'EP Eyesore (Mosh Bart Industries/ Bisect Bleep).
L'album complexe et technique Ecce Lex (Overcome Records) donnera une dimension supplémentaire à NOSTROMO, devenu une référence du métal extrême et du grindcore.
Il se reforme en 2016, pour accompagner Gojira en tournée.
